Selling our Home

We have decided to put our home up for sale by owner. We are interested in a larger home. One where Akilah will have more room to have a police dog, if he is chosen for one. We have had a lot of interest and a builder who is willing to take our home on trade if we buy his, but at this point nothing we have decided on. I created a blog for the home so people are able to see what it looks like before calling to set up a time to walk through it. NYLA SIMMONS IS HERE!

A couple new things are happening on the home front... Akilah is coaching Varsity football in Shelley, where my dad is the principal. They had their first game while we were in California and they WON! They will have another game this Saturday in Pocatello and I'll keep the blog posted on how his team does :)

I took a new job. I am now the community resource worked for Wilcox Elementary in Pocatello. I will be working with the community, teachers, parents, and the students. It will be my job to help everyone work together with a common goal of the students being in their seats each day so they can learn!

Lyric is still being a goof ball and having fun each day with daddy! I get to snuggle her all night and boy does she loved to be snuggled and kissed on her big and chubby kisses.

Jen also had Nyla this weekend while we were in California. We were very sad we didn't get to meet her at the hospital but can't wait for her and Lyric to become great friends.. below is Lyric talking to Nyla while I'm trying to feed her in the car in California.. and also some pictures of the new babay!

Hoang Wedding in California

Lyric had her first trip to California this last weekend! She was such a champ on the plane. Everyone told me to breastfeed her while the plane was taking off to help with the elevation change. Well, you know me... I was all prepared to help her little ears with the change.. so we got ready to feed her... and then we were done before the plane even left the ground haha :) oh well, the change in elevation didn't seem to bother her anyway so on the way home I didn't even worry about it.

Lyric's hair LOVED the humidity in California. It curled up so pretty and she was such a good baby while we were there. She was getting passed all over the place and she kept her pretty little smile the whole time!

Lyric's great grandparents got to meet her for the first time, along with her cousin and aunties.. Akilah's parents were so good to us and watched her the night of the wedding reception so we could hang out with all of friends! I was nice to have a night to ourselves with no worries.

5 months old!

This little chunk is 5 months old! She is sitting up all on her own now, talking up a storm, sleeping through the night, getting ready for baby food, still being breastfed, and getting spoiled by her daddy. She is honestly such a great addition to our family and brings us smiles each day! She's so easy going like her daddy, and just likes to hang out and watch sports with him!

I LOVE being on the lake and now Akilah loves being on the lake too... next up.. LYRIC... working on getting her use to the boat and being in the water and on the lake.. so far so good.. she loves her aunt Jessie and check out the video of her splashing in the water.. so cute :)
